Sales Representative - New York City

Position Purpose:

Accelerating market share growth in assigned territory. This will be achieved primarily by adding new accounts while increasing same store sales in existing accounts.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

Prospecting: New business development

  • Actively prospect, identify and evaluate new customer opportunities.
  • Understand customer needs and leverage this information to develop persuasive selling stories.
  • Conduct sales presentations with Independent Retailers resulting in suggested orders.
  • Deliver against sales plans – annual, quarterly and monthly objectives.
  • Manage sales funnel leveraging CRM to track progress.
  • Understand local market trends and competitive advantages that may enhance sales efforts.
  • Drive business through local trade, buying group and consumer shows.

Account Management: Increase same store sales

Financial Analyst

Position Purpose:

Support sales and marketing teams by analyzing sales trends, building models, and product analysis.  The position will work closely with the marketing team to determine the effectiveness of marketing strategies.  Priority will be placed on cost and return on investment analysis.

 Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and update models to track and analyze sales.
  • Calculate ROI on marketing activities.
  • Analyze product lines for profitability.
  • Ensure customer profiles are complete in customer database to allow for detailed customer analysis.
  • Maintain and present sales and marketing results and scorecards on a weekly basis.
  • Analyze sales results of internal and external sales reps and sales territories.
  • Assist in annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting.
  • Assist accounting in reporting month-end financials.

Qualifications/Experience Profile:

Prefer a minimum of 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or sales analysis.  Prefer the majority of related experience be in a cross-functional business team environment within a consumer product company with products in retailer and/or direct to consumer channels. 

Education:

Bachelors in related field required preferably finance, statistics, or business intelligence.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with mastery level spreadsheet skills and experience using other tools to perform in-depth analysis of sales and marketing.
  • Excellent PC/computer skills….Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good business acumen:  ability to understand broader business implications beyond finance (ex., cost/value analysis and implication, sales/customer service balance with cost of programs).
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

Wholesale Marketing Manager

Position Purpose:

The Wholesale Marketing Manager is responsible for promoting the eyebobs brand within the wholesale channel by developing and executing marketing strategy, supporting sales team marketing needs, and brand marketing development. 

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Champion brand vision in wholesale marketing channel through development and execution of wholesale marketing and communications strategies.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop strategies and materials that support the wholesale sales process.
  • Manage the development and execution of wholesale marketing plans.
  • Understand wholesale sales team needs by gathering feedback from the sales team and through observation during customer interactions.
  • Work closely with wholesale sales to prepare business development presentations that deliver a compelling message.
  • Provide wholesale sales team with brand strategy and messaging to use in sales interactions.
  • Develop on-message, timely wholesale sales tools to be used in the field, in print and online.
  • Drive design and development of trade advertising, digital and print communications and wholesale sales collateral.
  • Work with marketing and creative team to ensure stylistic and descriptive consistency across wholesale and direct channels.
  • Work with wholesale sales team to develop marketing campaigns to support and drive sales.
  • Analyze business results on a regular basis to gauge the success of wholesale marketing campaigns, new product launches, communications and promotions.
  • Develop creative briefs to inform collateral, communications and sales tool design.
  • Oversee development of product and sales related materials such as line books and training videos.
  • Oversee print vendor quality and costs for printed material.
  • Oversee communications calendar for emails, the wholesale website, wholesale sales promotions and sales tools.
  • Drive cross-functional development and maintenance of Wholesale Dealer website.

Qualifications/Experience Profile:

  •  Minimum of 5 years marketing experience within consumer products or B2B marketing to retailers. Experience marketing a luxury brand preferred.
  • Experience interpreting research, marketing and data and applying findings to a marketing strategy.
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated time management and follow-through skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Senior Accountant

Position Purpose:

This position oversees and/or is responsible for preparing and/or reviewing all general ledger entries, general ledger account reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and providing accounting expertise to assist eyebobs in achieving its business goals.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows), supporting schedules, and the financial package distributed to the Board of Directors and the Management Team while ensuring monthly due dates are met.
  • Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.
  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring strong controls and processes over all transactions recorded in the general ledger.  Ensure that the general ledger reflects generally accepted accounting principles, consistently applied.
  • Assist in the AOP and cash liquidity models for both actual and forecasts.
  • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with financial and tax audits.
  • Assist with preparation of tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Oversee retail sales tax administration and returns process.
  • Oversee and update accounting process flows and procedures.
  • Lead, manage and coordinate strong controls and accounting processes related to payroll and employee benefits expenses.
  • Process payroll, garnishments and benefits remittance for all employees.
  • Lead and manage the annual Insurance renewal (General Liability, Property and Casualty, and Directors and Officers insurance) for the Company.  Coordinate claims against insurance policies if and when appropriate.
  • Manage treasury activities.
  • Work with the CFO to review 401k Plan compliance, and file Form 5500.
  • Lead the Company’s record retention design and compliance efforts, including an annual review and update to the Company’s record retention policy and communication of any required changes or improvements to Company personnel.  Lead and coordinate retention of contracts and other legal files.
  • Lead and manage inventory accounting to ensure accurate calculation of Cost of Goods Sold and strong controls and processes over inventory accounting.
  • Oversee purchasing and accounts payable staff as well as indirectly oversee accounts receivable and customer service processes.
  • Support projects assigned by CFO and/or CEO such as strategic planning process support including presentation to key management and owners, financial analysis projects, etc.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience Profile:

  • 5+ years experience in accounting required.
  • Sound understanding of GAAP.
  • Must have strong analytical skills to provide meaningful reporting, identify problems, and suggest solutions.
  • Must have strong system skills, both as a user of existing systems, and proficient at developing recommendations for further improvement in systems and processes that will unlock future improvements in business procedures.
  • Working knowledge of corporate tax concepts.
  • Payroll processing experience.
  • Ability to work independently and apply general accounting principles to financial transactions activity.
  • Ability to evaluate financial information and apply sound judgment in making critical decisions.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent administrative/organization skills and strong numbers and analytical skills.
  • Creative – ability to recommend new processes, new data management methods, etc.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP preferred.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.  CPA not required, but is preferred.

Information Technology Support Specialist

Position Purpose:

The eyebobs IT Support Specialist will provide technical assistance with hardware, software and ERP system; Conduct client acceptance testing during software releases and website upgrades throughout the year. 

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Answer user inquiries regarding software, hardware, phone system
  • Investigate and resolve technical problems; Provide technical assistance and support as needed
  • Assist with resolving user issues and questions related to ERP system (NetSuite); Submit tickets to NetSuite as necessary to resolve issues
  • Document technical policies, procedures and workflows as needed
  • Lead software testing process during NetSuite software releases twice yearly; Follow up and help to resolve issues after release is live
  • Assist with maintenance, support and end-user validation testing for retail and wholesale websites and their integration to NetSuite through web services
  • Conduct CSV imports and data updates in NetSuite as needed
  • Assist with testing and validation of enhancements and customizations in NetSuite
  • Set up equipment and workstations for employee use, ensuring proper installation of hardware, software, peripheral equipment, phone
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service; Initiate and conduct support calls to vendors as needed
  • Assist with training others in the proper use of hardware, software and ERP system; Identify outside training resources and set up trainings related to software and ERP system
  • Help to determine requirements for new systems or modifications to existing systems
  • Monitor data usage for phone system, EDI system and sales/use tax system
  • Other tasks as needed

Qualifications/Experience Profile:

Prefer a minimum of 3+ years in IT & CRM/ERP system support. Experience with NetSuite a plus. Demonstrated experience with website & software validation and acceptance testing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

Bachelors in related field required.

Skills:

  • Proficient- Expert with all versions of MS Office, latest Windows operating systems, Dell and Lenovo hardware
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP or other CRM/ERP system
