Shipping, Returns and Exchanges
May I return or exchange my eyebobs if they make me look like a dork?
In the unlikely event that you fail to look highly intelligent or on the cutting edge of fashion in your new frames, eyebobs offers free returns. You have 90 days from date of purchase to return or exchange new merchandise. Once it's received at eyebobs HQ, your return or exchange will be processed in 2-3 business days. "Free Gift with Purchase" Return Policy
You are welcome to keep your “free gift with purchase” item, even if you return the item you purchased. If you choose to keep the “free gift with purchase” item, the amount of your refund will be reduced by the retail price of the gift.
I live in Minneapolis. Can I drop by to see all your styles or drop off my return or get an autograph and photo with Bob?
Our Minneapolis location is our main office and flagship store. It's open to the public between 10am – 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm Saturday, closed on Sunday. You can shop for frames with our opticians, get a vision test using state-of-the-art 20/20 technology, complete returns or exchanges, or drop off frames for repair.
If you’d like to shop for frames with one of our local retailers, you can use our store locator to find a fabulous eyebobs retailer near you. Sorry, no photos with Bob. He's camera-shy, and also fictional. Much like Santa or the Tooth Fairy, he exists only in our hearts. (Sorry for the spoiler if you're hearing the Tooth Fairy bit for the first time.)
Occasionally, some high-demand items on our site are not available to ship immediately. Don’t despair – just take it as a sign that you have excellent taste! If an item is on backorder, we will specify the estimated ship date on the product detail page. Most backorders ship within 30 days of your order date. We will contact you via email if we become aware of additional delays. When your order ships, we will contact you with tracking information so you can follow its journey from our headquarters to your mail box.

Do my eyebobs come with a warranty?
All eyebobs readers come with a one year warranty on manufacturing defects. Manufacturing defects do not include scratched lenses or wear and tear. eyebobs that have been stepped on, dropped, run over by a car, chewed on by dogs, smashed by toddlers, abducted by aliens or blown up by dynamite do not qualify. Please contact us with questions regarding warranty repair or replacement.
Lenses have a one-year anti-scratch warranty for prescription only. Call our Customer Service Team for details.
Do you accept insurance?
Your vision insurance plan may cover a portion of your purhcase or your entire eyewear purchase. Please make sure to check with your insurance provider for eligibility. eyebobs does not bill insurance companies but you may purchase your eyewear and we are happy to send you an itemized receipt that you can send to your provider for reimbursement. Flex Spending and Health Savings Accounts
Can I make a purchase with my FSA or HSA?
eyebobs accepts FSA or HSA dollars for all eyewear purchases as long as your FSA or HSA card is associated with VISA, MasterCard or American Express (please check with your employer or insurance provider to be sure the expense is eligible).
To place an order online just use your FSA or HSA card like a credit card* or give us a call at (866)-393-2627. *Orders online will only accept one form of payment
If your FSA or HSA card does not cover your entire purchase or you would like to use your FSA or HSA card to pay for a portion of your purchase and apply the remaining balance to another card, please call us at (866)-393-2627 and we will be happy to help you complete your purchase.

What should I do if my eyebobs sit crooked on my face or slide down my nose?
A qualified optician can adjust your eyebobs for a personalized fit. Having your glasses adjusted is like having a suit tailored; it is best done in person for a custom fit. (Trust us, you will look totally hot after!) Most optical stores will do adjustments at no charge if you ask nicely or offer them candy.

How do I figure out my ideal magnification?
If you’re not sure what strength is best, our handy test can help you figure it out. Please note: while it’s a great way to help determine a strength that will work for your needs, this test is no substitute for the recommendation of your eye care professional.
How do I place an order?
Select your frame and lens type (and optional tint, if you’d like sunglasses), add them to your cart then proceed with checkout.
How do I use a promo code?
This option is available during checkout. Scroll down to the box that reads “Promo Code” to enter.
Can I use more than one promo code at a time?
No, we can only accept one promo code per order.
I do not see the lenses I want or I’m getting an error.
Some frames may not be well-suited for certain prescriptions. If you’re getting an error, please call Customer Service for assistance.
My doctor gave me a prescription for contact lenses, can I use this to order my glasses?
No, eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions differ. Glasses can only be ordered using eyeglass prescriptions.
How can I get prescription sunglasses?
You will be able to select this option on the product detail page, before placing the item in your cart. We also offer Light Sensitive lenses that change from clear to dark in the sunlight.
What are your lenses made of?

Lenses come with UltraViolet, Anti-Reflective and Impact Resistant treatments
Do you offer frames only or non-prescription “fashion” glasses? If not, can you re-lens my current frame?
We only send complete pairs of glasses. We can provide zero prescription lenses at the starting price for a single-vision prescription. We cannot re-lens a frame that was purchased previously.
Do you offer glass lenses?
No, we do not offer glass lenses.
Do you charge for strong prescription?
High Index lenses for stronger prescriptions are available for an additional charge. This additional charge will be clearly specified when selecting your lens type while ordering.
Once my glasses are ready, can I come to pick them?
Our frames are outfitted with your custom prescription in a separate location, and shipped directly to you. Only orders placed at our Minneapolis retail lab can be picked up.
Where will you make my glasses?
Our frames are manufactured in China, and our lenses are made in California.
Do you offer international shipping?
We do not offer international shipping on prescription glasses.
How much is shipping?
U.S. Shipping is free; expedited shipping is available at an extra charge.
When will I get my order?
You will receive your prescription glasses within 5 – 7 business days of when we receive your prescription information. Readers and sunglasses typically arrive in 2-5 business days.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Call our Customer Service within 24 hours of your order and we will make every effort to modify or cancel your order. Because we process orders as quickly as possible, the faster you reach out to us, the more likely it is we can modify an order.
How do you ship the order? Do I have to take care of customs or taxes?
Standard US shipping is FedEx, however USPS shipping is available. Customers are responsible for taxes and customs charges.
Do I get a tracking number?
Yes! We send email confirmations on all orders at the time of shipment with your tracking information.
Do my glasses come with a case?
All our frames come with a complimentary case and cleaning cloth.
Do you have replacement frame pieces?
Yes, we can replace parts for our frames. See Repair section.
Are the prices in U.S. Dollars?
What happens if my doctor changes my prescription after I receive my glasses?
If your doctor updates your prescription within the first 30 days of receiving your new glasses, we can update the lenses to the new prescription at no charge.
What is your return policy?
We want you to love your new glasses. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, call or email our customer service team and we’ll be happy to assist with a return.
Does your repair service for lens replacement cover prescription lenses?
Lenses have a one-year anti-scratch warranty for prescription only. Call our Customer Service Team for details.
Can eyebobs make lenses for my existing frames?
No, we currently cannot offer lenses for frames that were purchased previously.
I want to purchase eyeglasses through eyebobs, but this prescription stuff is confusing. Is there an easier way?
Contact our customer service and we’d be happy to help you with your order. Submitting your prescription is easy and we can call your eye care professional if needed.
My prescription has expired or it doesn't have an expiration date, can I still order glasses?
Typically, prescriptions expire in 1-2 years, depending on doctor’s preference. We would be happy to verify your prescription with your doctor directly.
How do I know my prescription will be correct?
We verify all submitted prescriptions prior to sending them to our lab. If we have questions or see something that doesn’t look quite right, we will contact you or your doctor to verify.
Does eyebobs offer prescription sunglasses or Photochromic lenses?
Yes! You can select tinted or light sensitive lens options prior to adding a frame to your cart.
What is the difference between Bifocal and Progressive Bifocal?
Typically, a Bifocal lens will have a visible line at the point where the prescription changes. A progressive lens has no visible line and gradually changes prescription as your eye moves down the lens.
What are photochromic lenses?
Light sensitive lenses that automatically lighten or darken in response to sunlight.
Do you offer bifocal or progressive lenses?
We offer progressive, no line multifocal lenses.
What is the difference between single-vision and progressive lenses?
A single-vision lens will have one prescription throughout the lens, whereas a progressive lens is a multi-prescription lens with seamless multi focal corrections.
What’s the best way to clean my lenses?

What if I have an astigmatism?
Your prescription will specify if you have astigmatism, and we will make lenses to accommodate.
How do I order reading glasses?
All of our frames are available as reading glasses.
Can I order bifocals that are computer distance on top and reading on bottom?
If you have a prescription written for this lens configuration, we can accommodate.
How do I order non-prescription glasses?
You can order a zero prescription, or a Plano lens.
What frame material is right for me?
See below under “Materials”.
What can I do if my frames don't fit perfectly?
Call or email our customer service team and we will help walk you through how to correct minor fit issues, help you find another frame if you’d prefer a different style, or return your frames for a refund.
Can I get the frames in a different color?
Some styles of frames come in a variety of different colors, but what you see is what you get. We are not able to create a frame in custom colors.
Do the frames come in different sizes?
No, the frames come in one size per style. Some styles are wider or more narrow than others.
Do you offer frame personalization?
No, we do not offer frame personalization.
Can I order frames without lenses?
No, we do not offer frames without lenses.
My frame is out of stock. Can you notify me when it's back in stock?
Yes, simply sign-up for an email notification on the product detail page. We will reach out as soon as your frame is back in stock.
How does Virtual Try On work?
You must have a camera enabled, and your browser needs to allow the camera to be accessed. Once you select a frame for Closer Look, the option is available in the bottom left corner of the 360 image. Face size can be selected to adjust frames for a more accurate fit.
How do I upload my photo?
We do not currently have this function, but Virtual Try On is even better!
Can I check how multiple pairs will look on me at the same time?
Sorry, but you can only select one frame at a time for Virtual Try On.
How do I know if a frame fits me?
Here are a few rules of thumb to determine whether a frame fits:
- Pupils should be near the center of the lens. Lenses shouldn’t extend past the side of your face.
- Eyebrows should not be inside the glasses.
- When you smile, your cheeks shouldn’t push the frames up.
- Frames shouldn’t slide down your nose.
- Frames shouldn’t feel too tight or loose behind your ears.
- The temples are not too long or too short.
- The temples are not too tight or too loose at the side of your face.
- The frames shouldn’t be crooked or slide down your face.
- An optical adjustment can go a long way in correcting minor fit issues. If you find a frame you love but it doesn’t fit quite right, consider an adjustment.
Where can I find my frame’s measurements?
Optical measurements of the frames can be found on the inside temple along with the frame name and color numbers.
When should I use a High Index lens?
We recommended at +/- 4 or higher
What is predictive Seg Height?
We measured all our frames and took an average seg height for both men and women.
Do I need a prescription or will a reader be enough?
Your eyecare professional can offer advice on which option is best. But all our readers are available in over the counter reader lens strengths, or we can customize the reader to your exact prescription.
What does Sphere mean in my prescription?
Sphere is your actual prescription in each eye.
What does cylinder mean in my prescription?
Cylinder indicates an astigmatism. This along with axis provides the lens cutters with the correct curvature to correct astigmatism.
How do your Blue LIght glasses work?
From spreadsheets to streaming, budgeting to binge watching, you spend a LOT of time staring at digital screens. Great for productivity – not so great for your eyes. The harsh blue light emitted by phones, tablets, computers and televisions can cause eye fatigue, blurred vision, dry eyes, headaches and can even disrupt natural circadian rhythms that help you fall and stay asleep. Yikes.
Available in our most popular styles, in plano (clear) or magnifications from +0.75 – 3.00 (if you need an extra boost) – eyebobs Blue Light is your secret weapon for combatting digital eyestrain. They help lessen the effects of Blue Light so you can work smart and log more screen time.

Can you replace the lenses in my eyebobs with a different magnification?
We can outfit your bobs with new lenses. Bear in mind, reading glasses go through A LOT of wear and tear with daily use. New lenses may not be the wisest investment. If you think your frames are in tip-top shape, you have two options: consult with your optical about cutting new lenses or send them in to us. Visit our repairs page for information on how to send them in.
I need a +1.50 in my right eye and a +2.00 in my left. Can I still order eyebobs?
Well we don’t usually do this, but since you are so nice……we can create pair of eyebobs for you with two different magnifications. There is an additional charge to do, so if you have some frames you are considering please call us for a quote. One thing to note, these custom creations are not eligible for return or exchange. Bob’s loving hand made these especially for you, and with you is where they want to stay.

What kind of materials do you use in your eyebobs?
Italian block acetate (zyl): This is the type of material we use to make nearly all of our frames. Acetate is the same material used to make most high-end designer frames. The color and quality are unmatched. This is the good stuff, people!
Bamboo: eyebobs bamboo reading glasses are a chic and eco-friendly option. The temples are hand carved from sustainable bamboo. Because bamboo is a natural material, the temples cannot be adjusted like our other frames. We’ve given them a bit of curve for a more comfortable fit, so adjustments shouldn’t be necessary. Remember: every time a bamboo temple breaks a panda cries. Think of the pandas!
