Huge sunglasses aren’t exactly new news as far as trends go, but we are seeing a resurgence of face-filling frames following their stint in the backseat as teeny-tiny, 90’s inspired frames took the spotlight. Now, they’re back and better than ever, lending a serious cool factor to any summer outfit. Whether you emulate old Hollywood glamour or your tastes skew more Real Housewives, there’s an oversized frame you’re sure to take a shine to. Go big or go home, right?

The disco decade is back, and it’s brought a few of its grooviest sunglasses shapes with it. 70’s-inspired rectangular shades are huge right now, and there’s no reason to believe they’re going the way of disco any time soon. This retro style is incredibly versatile, and can be made more modern with vibrant colors and patterns or taken back to its nostalgic roots with earthy tones and tortoiseshell prints.

We’d never insult our eyewear, but it’s become apparent that “ugly” fashion trends are having their heyday.
